Mechanostriders and Boats

I think Mechanostriders may be my favorite mount. I made a gnome death knight and got one. I was on it, using path of frost to cross a lake, when I started wondering why engineers can't make boats. They can make motorcycles and helicopters, why not boats? That'd be so awesome! I also wondered why there aren't any cars. It's not like Azeroth is some primitive land where technology is extriemly limited; I mean if we can have motorcycles, helicopters, balloon-gondolas, I'm pretty sure we have the mental capacity to think up a car or truck or something. And you know how you can fit two people in a motorcycle; wouldn't it be sweet to have a car and pick up all five people in your party? Sure, it's not very useful, since they could all just ride over on their mounts. But what if they made it really expensive to make, and it would go faster than epic ground mounts? And come on, who doesn't want to see three dwarves in the back of a rusty pick-up truck?!

But then, maybe the reason we can only have motorcycles and stuff like that is because there's lack of fuel? Since the dinosaurs aren't dead yet I asume Azeroth and Outland are fairly new planets (sorry, don't know much lore), so I don't know what they use to fuel the engineering and other mechanical things. But I supose there's plenty of stuff they could use.

Anyway, it's something Blizzard should think about. :D
